Beautiful flower trees

Out of all the different flower variety’s I have to say that one particular flower type that I find to be incredibly beautiful is the different types of flower trees. I’m sure many of you have seen these trees planted in parking or the front yards of people’s homes. When I beginning looking for a flower tree for my yard, I was surprised to see just how many different kinds are out there. There are a few that I found to be absolutely beautiful and I wanted to share with my fellow flower lovers.

For all the flower lovers out there, wouldn’t it be so great if we could get one flower that offered every color of the rainbow all mixed together? Well now you can. I’m not talking about several flowers making up these multiple colors- one flower containing all of these colors within their petals.

Some of the best smelling flowers

Those of us who love flowers are always on the search from something that brings a new smell into the home. While some flowers are very beautiful, it is disappointing when they have little, if any scent. What’s a flower without its pleasant aroma? Well, these are a few of the most potent, best smelling flowers I have found so far.

The Sweet Alyssum grows as tiny clusters of very tiny flowers. Although they are tiny, they have a wonderful scent that can be smelled clearly in the air near the area they are growing. They are quite simple to grow and will last a long time when picked and placed in a vase inside the home.

Valentine's Day flowers

Valentine’s Day will be here very soon and I’m sure many people are deciding or have already decided what they do for their sweetheart. For women, the most common gift received on Valentine’s Day is flowers. Women love flowers and the market knows that, so they have plenty of roses available this time of the year. One interesting thing about roses is their price increase around this time. Roses more than triple in price during the Valentine’s Day holiday.

Fresh vegetables for all

As spring time continues to approach, not quickly enough, there is one thing I am more excited about than anything else. I’m sure all your gardeners will agree, the best part of the summer is the garden fresh vegetables! I grow so many vegetables in my garden, there is no way I could use them all myself. I give many away to family and friends, and store some in jars if at all possible. What types of vegetables do you grow in your garden?
